The sickle bar cutting system can be used to cut most long grain crop applications in addition to hay, grasses, legumes, rye and others. 

We are pleased to introduce our line of HMW forged steel sickle guards.   Our product material and heat treatment were designed to provide the operator with a durable, constant and clean cut even in the most demanding of soil conditions.  

Our parts are manufactured out of high strength carbon steel; the parts are then core hardened with additional target induction heat treatment of the wear surfaces.  In addition to a reformed mill slot, HMW integrated several “new” design features to include added material at the two major weak points of the sickle guard the mill slot and the mounting surface,  This important design change helps to reduce cutting surface material clogging and allows for increased centerline strength and stability of the overall part.
